AWS Data Center Construction is seeking a highly enthusiastic, motivated, and customer facing Senior Program Manager to be a part of the Construction Program Team to innovate, manage, and create new programs that improve our safety culture.
This Construction Safety subject matter expert will require strong communication skills with managers, peers and team members, both within their immediate department, as well as with other departments and business partners to drive effective and sustainable safety practices on our construction sites.
Key job responsibilitiesYou will influence program development, framework and strategy but will be responsible for deploying programs that cover safety elements of leadership, planning, support, operational controls, continuous improvement, performance management, ensure the businesses are operating to jurisdictional requirements, and AWS Safety Management Program (SMP) requirements.
Examples:
o Identifies opportunities in our existing Construction Program to strengthen our safety culture, develops programs to support it, gains stakeholder buy-in, and ensures adoption across all of our projectso Uses their extensive safety & construction knowledge to identify and develop best-in-class safety cultureo Navigates through ambiguity, managing and coordinating multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the process and delivering on commitmentso Documents data and anecdotes in standard reporting tools (Weekly Business Reviews, Monthly Project Reviews) for DCPD and H&S leadership teamso Identifies improvement opportunities at project(s), and partners with Data Center Health and Safety (DCHS) Operational Team on regional issues that impact construction/operations handover phases.
o Analyzes data (leading and lagging indicators) for trends, risks/opportunities and reports out at project/regional levels and within governance programso Conduct regular site visits with construction managers and Data Center Health and Safety Operational teamso Possess a thorough understanding of local/regional regulations and company safety policy o Hosts project and regional specific contractor and internal team H&S kickoff sessions and annual performance review sessions.
A day in the lifeYou will use data and anecdotes to tactically drive internal customers to manage H&S risks.
You will apply your knowledge of the jurisdictional requirements, regional best practices, cultural norms, and location specific characteristics to improve construction safety by jumping in and showing the business this is what the data is telling us, and this is how it is done and develop solutions that enable our Construction Managers to enforce safety with their General Contractors and vendors.
You must be an effective communicator, sending clear, concise and consistent messages verbally, in written form, and/or public speaking forums.
You will play a key role in deploying mechanisms that manage construction safety, while developing competencies and ownership of safety in the business.
You must have diplomacy, patience and tact to earn trust in relationships to effectively advise, instruct and challenge internal and external partner teams on safety.
About the teamYou will be integrated with a global network of Construction professionals including Construction Managers, Program Manager, Regional Managers, and Regional Health & Safety Engineers in operational teams.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
